EDF ENERGY RENEWABLES WITHDRAWS HIGH WOOD WIND FARM PLANNING APPLICATION
EDF Energy Renewables has confirmed that it has requested the withdrawal of its planning application for the proposed High Wood wind farm.
After reviewing the scheme in the light of recent government announcements on onshore wind, the company has informed the East Riding of Yorkshire Council that it will not be proceeding with the proposed project.
The High Wood project proposal involved the development of a 10 turbine wind farm on agricultural land to the south west of Driffield, between the villages of North Dalton and Tibthorpe.
The planning application was scheduled to be considered by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s planning committee in September.
