Project overview

Cruach Brenfield

EDF Energy Renewables will no longer be submitting a planning application to Argyll and Bute Council for its proposed wind farm, known as Cruach Brenfield, near Ardrishaig.
Considerable environmental, landscape and visual analysis work has been undertaken on the proposed site and we still believe it has the potential to provide an appropriate location for a wind farm.
However at the present time we are unable to meet the planning and environmental requirements which apply at this site with our need to optimise the site’s potential to generate energy.
Argyll and Bute Council, local councillors and community councils have all been made aware of this decision.
